Every Detail, Handled
After 24 years in the Air Force — the last 7 at NATO HQ in Brussels — I spent another decade in cybersecurity, first at DHS and then at Navy Federal Credit Union. Those years reinforced something I already believed: details matter, and getting them right before you leave makes all the difference (I think Reacher would agree).
Ultimately living in Europe lit the travel bug in a way that never went away. By the time I retired I had a list of places I wanted to go and no good reason not to go to them. And I quickly found that cruises were a great way to check some places off my list.
Forty-plus cruises later, the majority of them on Norwegian Cruise Line, I decided to formalize what had become a serious obsession. Here's the honest version of why I do this: I became a travel advisor primarily to offset my own travel costs while helping family and friends travel smarter and cheaper. This is not about building an income stream — and that matters to you, because it means when I work with you I'm not chasing a commission; I'm chasing the best possible trip. That same mindset is what drove me to build my price monitoring program from scratch. Most people book a cruise and move on — but cruise prices move constantly, sometimes dropping hundreds or even thousands of dollars after you book. I built a custom system that monitors both prices and active promotions, so nothing slips by. It's the kind of thing an engineer builds when they care more about the outcome than the effort.
